Our Heritage & Story

Statfold Barn Railway

Museum Development

The Museum has gone through a revamp and is set to enhance, educate and hopefully enthral the visitor even more than on previous visits.

A mezzanine floor has been installed enabling static displays of engines, not refurbished but in the state in which they arrived at Statfold.

There are more static displays to view on the ground floor of motive power that is no longer used on the railway.

A Restaurant and Conference Centre has been added, fitted out to a very high specification. It is hoped that in the future a licence will be granted to operate as a wedding venue which might appeal not only to railway enthusiasts but to people from all walks of life.

A new and larger shop has been created to offer an increased range of merchandise and it is hoped that the visitor will leave Statfold at the end of their visit with a feeling of excitement that lasts until their next visit.

We are aiming to get all of the alterations completed for the March Enthusiasts day .
