Enthusiast Day

21st March 2020

PRE-BOOKING ONLY

9.00 – 16.00

Statfold Narrow Gauge Trust is pleased to announce the return of our original style ‘Enthusiasts’ Days’ for 2020.
These days are set aside from our busy public events and are exclusive to enthusiasts aged 10 and above only.

As most people know, Statfold has grown in leaps and bounds in the short time we have been open to the public and we continue to do so in order to raise monies for the Trust to ensure the ongoing preservation of the Statfold Collection. We have been truly thrilled and overwhelmed with the amount of people wishing to visit us on a regular basis.

The Statfold Collection continues to grow, with the donation of the assets of the Hampshire Narrow Gauge Trust. The March 2020 Enthusiast day will be one of the first opportunities to see these locomotives at Statfold. The March 2020 Enthusiast Day will also be the grand opening of our new workshops which will be based in the museum building and which help the Trust to maintain the Statfold Collection.

In addition to this, the storage area not normally opened to the public will be open to allow enthusiasts to browse items that are not currently on public display.

The garden railway will be running the ever popular ‘Driver for a fiver’, the Burton & Ashby Tram will be in operation, the boiler shop and Statfold Engineering will be open.

Over the years Statfold has been famous for something new on an Enthusiast Day and 2020 promises to be no exception.
